Holidaymakers to New York this summer will be pleased to hear the details of the upcoming 49th Washington Square music festival.
Taking place on the evenings of July 10th, 17th, 24th and 29th from 20:00 EDT, the New York event is completely free and will appeal to music lovers far and wide.
The attraction presents a selection of jazz and classical concerts in a stunning square in the heart of New York’s Greenwich Village.
Visitors can enjoy the Festival Orchestra, chamber groups and the more modern swing bands. Concerts happen in the south-east corner of the park, just next to LaGuardia Place and West 4th Street exit.
All seating for the free concerts is on a first-come first-served basis so visitors are advised to turn up early.
New York, with its mix of culture, nightlife and great cuisine, has been a longstanding favourite of UK holidaymakers and with flight prices starting at just below £200, this trend is sure to continue.
