The English town of Bath is renowned for its Roman baths and US tourists are being encouraged to test the water for themselves.
The city’s Thermae Bath Spa is the latest attraction for US visitors to the city, according to an Associated Press review.
The spa, which opened last year, now offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the city’s history by taking a dip in the renowned healing waters, just as the Romans did 2,000 years ago.
Up until its opening, visitors could only drink a cup of the water following a tour of the famous Bath Spa.
Other attractions that are sure to appeal include the city’s abbey, Royal Crescent, which is used in many period dramas, as well as the Costume Museum.
The Jane Austen Centre, which documents the author’s time in the city and its basis for Northanger Abbey and Persuasion, is also well worth a look around.
Adequate travel insurance is a necessity for peace of mind when travelling abroad.
