Frequent fliers with Delta Air Lines’ SkyMiles loyalty program can earn 2,000 bonus air miles just by booking a room in a luxury international hotel.
The Atlanta-based carrier has teamed up with The Leading Hotels of the World to offer the exclusive deal.
Using the internet, Delta customers can accrue up to 2,000 bonus miles if they can complete their stay at a participating hotel by July 15th. Resorts included in the promotional offer can be found around the world, situated in 80 countries on six continents.
More than 80,000 hotel rooms across the globe now offer this opportunity to earn bonus SkyMiles.
“With more than 430 properties, The Leading Hotels of the World Limited has partnered with Delta to provide SkyMiles members even more ways to earn miles toward award travel,” said SkyMiles managing director Jeff Robertson.
Marshall Calder, vice president of marketing at Leading Hotels, described his firm as “the most comprehensive brand of luxury hotels and resorts worldwide”.
Participating hotels can be found in world cities from New York City to Mexico City, through Dubai and Johannesburg to Budapest.
Americans planning to earn bonus air miles with a hotel stay should remember to invest in adequate travel insurance before heading to the airport.
