Low-cost carrier Monarch Airlines has launched a new low-fare link with the Mediterranean island of Majorca, with two new Spanish routes also due to take off this week.
Yesterday, the budget airline inaugurated a new route between its London Luton hub and the Balearic island of Majorca. This latest connection will be served by eight flights each week.
Tomorrow (Thursday, May 3rd), the London-based operator will begin connecting Luton with Almeria, with four flights per week and Gatwick with Murcia with daily journeys in each direction.
Fares on the new links start at just £38.99, including tax.
“We are delighted to be launching these new routes from London and have been overwhelmed by how well they have been received with the first flights to Palma, Almeria and Murcia now fully booked,” said Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch’s website.
Earlier this week, the low-fare airline announced a sizeable rise in passenger volumes. Rival Jet2 also reported an increase in flier numbers, reflecting the continuing demand for no-frills travel.
Before going away, remember to invest in appropriate travel insurance.
