What is a pre-existing medical condition?

A pre-existing medical condition can be any reason to cancel, interrupt or delay your trip in existence prior to purchasing insurance.  The ”look back period” varies by company and  is usually between  60 and 180 days.  Conditions treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine, and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the “look back” period  are usually not considered pre-existing.  Please refer to the policy certificate for full details of the selected plan.
