Flight insurance is accidental death and dismemberment insurance for injuries resulting from an accident or crash of your airplane.  When included in travel insurance policies, the Air Flight Accident AD&D benefit provides coverage ONLY for the flight portion of your trip. This coverage is optional on some plans. There are also flight only insurance policies available for purchase.  Generally, the full face amount of the policy would be payable in the event of loss of life, or loss of two limbs, or of both eyes. The full table of benefit payments should be shown in the policy.
