Am I eligible to purchase TripProtector or TravelGap®?
Answer:
Any person whose primary residence is the United States or Canada is eligible to purchase TripProtector. The policy includes a pre-existing condition exclusion, which can be waived.
To be eligible for TravelGap Vacationer, the single-trip health and accident policy, you must be age 74 or less and a resident of the United States (in an approved state -- see Eligibility). Your spouse must also be age 74 or younger and your children, to be eligible, must be unmarried, dependent and under the age of 18. Note that while no primary health coverage is required, pre-existing conditions are excluded from coverage under the Vacationer plan
To be eligible for TravelGap Multi-Trip (Gold or Silver), the annual/multi-trip policy health and accident policy, you must be age 84 or less, a resident of the United States (in an approved state -- see Eligibility), and you must be covered under a Primary Health Plan. Your spouse must also be age 84 or younger and must be covered under a Primary Health Plan. Your unmarried, dependent children age 18 or younger are also eligible if they are covered under a Primary Health Plan. TravelGap Multi-Trip (Gold and Silver) has no exclusion for pre-existing conditions--so chronic and other pre-existing medical conditions that act up on your trip, if they otherwise qualify, are eligible for coverage.
