Roadside Assistance*
Towing Assistance – When towing is necessary, the covered vehicle will be towed to the nearest service facility or to any location requested by the covered customer.
Flat Tire Assistance – Service consists of the replacement of a flat tire with the covered vehicle’s spare tire. Towing assistance will be provided if needed.
Oil, Fluid, and Water Delivery Service – An emergency supply of oil, fluid, and water will be delivered to any covered vehicle in immediate need. The customer must pay for costs of the fluids if there is one.
Fuel Delivery Service – An emergency supply of fuel will be delivered to any covered vehicle in immediate need. The customer must pay for the costs of the fluids if there is one.
Lock-out Assistance – Assistance will be provided in gaining entry to a covered vehicle if the keys are lost or locked inside.
Battery Assistance – Battery assistance (jump-start) will be provided to any covered customer in immediate need.

TRAVEL ASSISTANCE & CONCIERGE SERVICES MEDICAL SERVICES

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE – Our multi-lingual professionals are available 24 hours a day to provide help, advice and referrals for medical emergencies. We will help You locate local physicians, dentists, or medical facilities.

MEDICAL CONSULTATION AND MONITORING – If You are hospitalized, we will contact You and Your treating physician to monitor Your condition to assure You are receiving appropriate care and assess the need for further assistance. We will also contact Your personal physician and family at home when necessary or requested to keep them informed of Your situation.

MEDICAL EVACUATION – When medically necessary, we will arrange and pay for appropriate transportation, including an escort, if required, to a suitable hospital, treatment facility or home. Payment for Medical Evacuation is available only for covered claims and up to the amount of coverage provided in the Policy. All medical transportation services must be authorized and arranged by On Call International. In the event of an unauthorized Medical Evacuation, reimbursement may be limited or coverage may be invalidated.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL PAYMENTS – We will assist You in the advancement of funds or guarantee payments (up to the Policy limit) to a hospital or other medical provider, if required, to secure Your admission, treatment or discharge.

PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE – We will assist You with replacing medications that are lost, stolen or spoiled during Your Covered Trip, either locally or by special courier.

Roadside Assistance*
Towing Assistance – When towing is necessary, the covered vehicle will be towed to the nearest service facility or to any location requested by the covered customer.

Oil, Fluid, and Water Delivery Service – An emergency supply of oil, fluid, and water will be delivered to any covered vehicle in immediate need. The customer must pay for costs of the fluids if there is one.
Fuel Delivery Service – An emergency supply of fuel will be delivered to any covered vehicle in immediate need. The customer must pay for the costs of the fluids if there is one.
Lock-out Assistance – Assistance will be provided in gaining entry to a covered vehicle if the keys are lost or locked inside.
Battery Assistance – Battery assistance (jump-start) will be provided to any covered customer in immediate need.

TRAVEL MEDICAL ADVISORIES: Before the Insured leaves on his/her Trip, he/she may obtain the latest travel advisories on his/her travel Destination(s). These advisories may include country-specific information such as visa and passport requirements, inoculation and immunization requirements, foreign exchange rates, weather forecasts, embassy and consular information, and U.S. State Department travel advisories.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION: In the event of an Injury or an illness to the Insured requiring medical treatment or hospitalization that is not adequate where he/she is traveling, Travel Guard Assist will coordinate and arrange emergency medical transportation to the nearest appropriate Hospital. Once the Insured is stabilized, and it’s medically necessary, Travel Guard Assist will also coordinate the return of the Insured to a Hospital near his/her permanent residence.

REPATRIATION OF REMAINS: In the event of the death of any Insured who is traveling, Travel Guard Assist will arrange for the return of the remains to the commercial airport nearest the Insured’s permanent residence.

LOST PASSPORT/TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Travel Guard Assist will assist the Insured with obtaining replacements if an Insured loses important travel documents while on the road — e.g., passport, credit cards, airline tickets, etc.

EMERGENCY PRESCRIPTION REPLACEMENT: For lost, damaged or locally unavailable prescriptions, Travel Guard Assist will coordinate the dispatch of such medications, when possible and legally permissible, to the Insured upon the authorization of the prescribing Physician.

MEDICAL REFERRAL: If medical advice or care is needed, Travel Guard Assist will refer the Insured to the nearest and most appropriate care facility or provide a listing to the Insured of the available medical care. At the Insured’s request, Travel Guard Assist will assist with obtaining an appointment with the medical care provider chosen by the Insured.

MEDICAL CASE MONITORING: If the Insured is hospitalized when traveling away from home, Travel Guard Assist will monitor the case from the initial admission until discharge. Using the skills of medical professionals, the Insured is assured that all necessary information is made available to him/her to ensure that the Insured receives the essential care he/she needs.

EMERGENCY MESSAGE RELAY: Travel Guard Assist provides the Insured with the ability to receive or transmit emergency messages to his/her family, employer, or family Physician.

    ON CALL shall provide up-to-date information either by e-mail, fax or over the phone regarding required vaccinations, health risks, travel restrictions and weather conditions for global destinations worldwide.
  2. Medical Monitoring
    ON CALL shall, via telephone, monitor the Member’s conditions when hospitalized and provide ongoing updates to the Member’s family. Depending upon the medical and/or geographical situations, ON CALL may retain the services of consulting physicians/nurses and/or other medical professionals with relevant areas of expertise to assist in the monitoring of the Member’s condition. ON CALL does not provide or control the provision of medical services to Members. The attending medical practitioner and/or the Member or their representative makes all decisions regarding medical services. The parties understand and agree that the rendering of medical services to a Member and the result thereof are solely within the control of medical practitioners and/or other providers of the services and advice. ON CALL and performance of its obligations shall not constitute any undertaking to render any medical services, to assume or guarantee the result of medical services provided on behalf of Members, or to guarantee that the medical services performed by others will be rendered in accordance with generally accepted standards or procedures.
  3. 24 Hour Nurse Help Line
    ON CALL shall provide Members with clinical assessment, education and general health information. This service shall be performed by a registered Nurse counselor to assist in identifying the appropriate level and source(s) of care for Members (based on symptoms reported and/or health care questions asked by or on behalf of Members). Nurses shall not diagnose Member’s ailments.
  4. Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Referrals
    ON CALL shall provide, at the Member’s request, referrals to medical, dental professionals and pharmacies in the given geographic area locations of western style medical facilities and English speaking doctors, dentists and other health care providers in an area served by ON CALL to the extent possible.
  5. Deposits, Advances and Guarantees
    Deposits, advances and guarantees will be provided for, but not limited to, medical facilities, hotels, airlines, ground and air ambulances and other like providers to secure service for Member. Any advances of funds on behalf of the Member shall be charged to the Member’s credit card at the time of service.
  6. Dispatch of Medicine Dispatch of Physician/Nurse When a Member is away from home, ON CALL may, at its sole discretion, dispatch to the Member’s location a physician or other health care professional to assist in determining the medical condition and suitability to travel to a Member who has been hospitalized.

    At the Member’s request, ON CALL shall assist Member once a trip has started with changing airline, hotel or car rental reservations.

    ON CALL will provide foreign language assistance over the telephone, or up to one-page translations submitted via fax. ON CALL will also provide referrals to local translators and interpreters. Fees for these types of translators are the responsibility of the Member.
  3. Emergency Cash Advance Assistance
    ON CALL shall provide assistance to Members by arranging for the forwarding of funds from Member’s credit cards or family members. Any fees associated with the transfer of funds will be the responsibility of the Member.
  4. Replacement of Lost Traveling Documents Assistance

    ON CALL shall provide up-to-date information either by e-mail, fax or over the phone regarding required vaccinations, health risks, travel restrictions and weather conditions for global destinations worldwide.
  2. Medical Monitoring
    ON CALL shall, via telephone, monitor the Member’s conditions when hospitalized and provide ongoing updates to the Member’s family. Depending upon the medical and/or geographical situations, ON CALL may retain the services of consulting physicians/nurses and/or other medical professionals with relevant areas of expertise to assist in the monitoring of the Member’s condition. ON CALL does not provide or control the provision of medical services to Members. The attending medical practitioner and/or the Member or their representative makes all decisions regarding medical services. The parties understand and agree that the rendering of medical services to a Member and the result thereof are solely within the control of medical practitioners and/or other providers of the services and advice. ON CALL and performance of its obligations shall not constitute any undertaking to render any medical services, to assume or guarantee the result of medical services provided on behalf of Members, or to guarantee that the medical services performed by others will be rendered in accordance with generally accepted standards or procedures.
  3. 24 Hour Nurse Help Line
    ON CALL shall provide Members with clinical assessment, education and general health information. This service shall be performed by a registered Nurse counselor to assist in identifying the appropriate level and source(s) of care for Members (based on symptoms reported and/or health care questions asked by or on behalf of Members). Nurses shall not diagnose Member’s ailments.
  4. Medical, Dental and Pharmacy Referrals
    ON CALL shall provide, at the Member’s request, referrals to medical, dental professionals and pharmacies in the given geographic area locations of western style medical facilities and English speaking doctors, dentists and other health care providers in an area served by ON CALL to the extent possible.
  5. Deposits, Advances and Guarantees
    Deposits, advances and guarantees will be provided for, but not limited to, medical facilities, hotels, airlines, ground and air ambulances and other like providers to secure service for Member. Any advances of funds on behalf of the Member shall be charged to the Member’s credit card at the time of service.
  6. Dispatch of Medicine Dispatch of Physician/Nurse When a Member is away from home, ON CALL may, at its sole discretion, dispatch to the Member’s location a physician or other health care professional to assist in determining the medical condition and suitability to travel to a Member who has been hospitalized.

TRAVEL ASSISTANCE

  1. Travel Assistance
    At the Member’s request, ON CALL shall assist Member once a trip has started with changing airline, hotel or car rental reservations.
  2. Translation and Interpreters
    ON CALL will provide foreign language assistance over the telephone, or up to one-page translations submitted via fax. ON CALL will also provide referrals to local translators and interpreters. Fees for these types of translators are the responsibility of the Member.
  3. Emergency Cash Advance Assistance
    ON CALL shall provide assistance to Members by arranging for the forwarding of funds from Member’s credit cards or family members. Any fees associated with the transfer of funds will be the responsibility of the Member.
  4. Replacement of Lost Traveling Documents Assistance
    ON CALL shall provide assistance to Members by arranging for the replacement of passports, airline documents, birth certificates and other travel-related documents. Any fees required for the acquisition or forwarding of these documents is the responsibility of the Member.
  5. Emergency Message Forwarding Assistance
    In the event a Member is unable to reach an employer, family member or traveling companion, ON CALL shall forward a message via telephone or fax to the intended party.
  6. Lost Luggage Assistance
    ON CALL shall assist the Member with the tracking of luggage lost in transit.
  7. Legal Referral
    If a Member is away from home and is arrested, or requires the services of an attorney, ON CALL shall arrange for an initial telephone consultation with an attorney without charge to Member. If needed, a Member will be referred to an attorney in the appropriate geographical area. Fees and costs charged by the referred attorney shall be the responsibility of Member.
