You can be covered for the costs of shore excursions if you miss the excursion for a covered reason.
Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption benefits can reimburse any prepaid and non-refundable trip expenses, including shore excursions, that are missed during a covered trip. If you can’t participate in an excursion because you’re sick or injured, or for other covered reasons, the costs can be covered by the Trip Interruption benefit. If you miss an excursion for something related to the cruise ship, the cruise line will typically reimburse the costs.
