U.S. Department of State Alerts Potential Implications for Travel Because of Ebola

The Department of State is alerting U.S. Citizens that WHO and CDC have provided interim guidance to public health authorities, airlines, and other partners in West Africa. Measures for evaluating risk of exposure for persons coming from countries affected with Ebola include screening, medical evaluation, movement restrictions up to 21 days, and infection control precautions. 

Additionally, U.S. citizens traveling to Ebola-affected countries are encouraged to purchase travel insurance including medical evacuation for Ebola.
