Ebola Virus Likely to Hit U.S.

According to an article by National Geographic, it is plausible for the U.S. to be see cases of Ebola, but to contain the virus and prevent outbreak.

There is always the possibility of an infected passenger who is not showing signs or symptoms of the virus to travel to the US. But it is not likely that the infection would spread in American hospitals.

CDC Director Tom Frieden stated “We are taking action now by alerting health care workers in the U.S. and reminding them how to isolate and test suspected patients while following strict infection-control procedures.”
