The Costa Rican Volcano, Turrialba started to erupt on Thursday, March 12th. The volcano is the second highest in Costa Rica with an altitude of 11,000 feet.  Turrialba  has been producing an ongoing series of vigorous ash eruptions. At least 5 explosions occurred, producing plumes that rose up to 1500 m above the crater.
