Updated: 2/9/2015

Winter Storm Marcus began late Friday night, and will continue to impact the Northeast through Monday night.  The storm also brought snow to the northern Great Lakes and northern Minnesota this past weekend.  This 3-4 day long snow event began late Friday night as an initial strip of light snow, which moved through Upstate New York and New England Saturday into early Sunday morning.  Over 10 inches of snow has piled up in several Massachusetts locations.  Boston’s Logan Airport had already tallied 12.1 inches as of 7 a.m. EST Monday morning.  Freezing rain had fallen overnight over much of the New York City metro area.  Marcus has already led to the cancellation of about 500 Monday arrivals and departures at Boston Logan International Airport, 432 at LaGuardia and 217 at John F. Kennedy International airports in New York, according to NBC.  Customers are strongly encouraged to read their Description of Coverage or Insurance Policy for details regarding their available coverage.  For plans that do offer coverage for adverse weather and natural disasters, please note that there is no coverage for this specific storm under any plans purchased on or after Saturday, February 7, 2015.  Please contact CSA Travel Protection with questions.
