My flight was diverted and I have missed my connection to my tour/cruise/flight. Am I covered?

Last Updated:

If you missed your connection for your cruise, tour, or another flight because your flight to Brussels was rerouted due to the terrorist explosions at the airport, your travel insurance policy may provide coverage for you to catch up to your trip.

Missed Connection benefits can cover for additional expenses to catch up to your cruise or tour, or to your original destination if a flight connection is missed. Typically this coverage is available for any flight delay (as long as you meet the minimum delay time), so this may be available to you even if your policy does not include Terrorism coverage.

Additionally, the Travel Delay benefit can provide coverage for necessary expenses while you are delayed, such as meals, accommodations and local transportation.

If your policy includes Terrorism coverage, the Trip Interruption benefit may cover any prepaid and unused expenses you have missed as a result of the terrorist attacks in Brussels.
