The 2014/2015 outbreak of the Measles virus has resulted in over 100 known cases of Measles across the nation, with over half originating from one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, Disneyland.

Despite the outbreak, Tin Leg policies still offer Emergency Medical and Medical Evacuation benefits for travelers who become infected with Measles while on a covered trip.

Tin Leg does not exclude any declared pandemics or epidemics, as such, coverage will remain available as long as a policy is purchased before the traveler contracts the virus.

Travelers who purchase a policy may have coverage for Emergency Medical, Medical Evacuation, Trip Cancellation, and Trip Interruption benefits if they become infected by the Measles outbreak.

  • Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption:
    • Illness of you, your traveling companion or a family member
