More Dead Than Initially Thought in Saudi Arabia

A national review of hospital data in Saudi Arabia countered the original death toll of 575 due to MERS. It has now been confirmed that there have been 688 deaths in the kingdom since MERS first appeared in 2012.

Fifty three patients in Saudi Arabia are still receiving treatment.
