Saudi Arabia’s Lack of Transparency Causes Scientists to Question MERS Outbreak

The recent underreporting of deaths attributed to MERS has caused some scientists to question whether this was a deliberate withholding by the Saudi Government.

Due to the international spread of MERS, many health officials are disappointed and skeptical of the way the outbreak has been handled, stating that there is much information missing about the outbreak and its demographics.
