Update from the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy

The Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy has reported that a potential treatment for MERS has been found in 27 drug compounds by a team of US researchers. These compounds proved to be successful in fighting the MERS-CoV virus and were among the likes of cancer drugs and antipsychotics.

This repurposing of existing drugs is an attractive approach for halting multiple coronaviruses.
