On Thursday July 14th a truck rammed a crowd during a Bastille Day fireworks display at the Promenade des Anglais, Nice, France. Current reports indicate that at least 84 people have been killed and at least 200 others have been injured. The driver of the vehicle has been killed by security forces. Law enforcement officers have closed off the area to public access while investigations are underway. Reports indicate that the state of emergency initially triggered following the Paris terror attacks in November 2015 has been extended by three months until October 26, 2016.
