On Monday, June 19, 2017, a car deliberately drove into a police van on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.

As of June 19, 2017, the Paris attack is no longer considered an unforeseen event. Any new travel insurance policies purchased after that point will not provide any coverage related to the attack.

This attack marks the second attack on the Champs-Elysees since April, when a shooter opened fire, killing a police officer and wounding others.
