Brussels Terrorist Attacks and Europe Travel Alert – Coverage FAQs

Last Updated:

On Tuesday, March 22, 2016, a series of terrorist attacks occurred in Brussels, Belgium, including two explosions at Zaventem Airport and an explosion at Maelbeek metro station. Following the attacks, the U.S. Department of State issued a travel alert for Europe.

Squaremouth has created the Brussels Terrorist Attacks and Travel Insurance Information Center to explain travel insurance coverage and answer Frequently Asked Questions from travelers about the terrorist attacks in Belgium and the subsequent Europe Travel Alert.

These FAQs cover common traveler concerns related to coverage for Terrorism, Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, and Travel Delay in relation to the attacks. This includes information for insured travelers who are already abroad and those who are concerned about current planned trips to Europe.
