In order for you to be eligible for Travel Delay, you must be delayed for a specific amount of time, typically 3, 6, or 12 hours, before coverage will begin. Additionally, you must be delayed due to a covered reason on the policy, such as mechanical breakdown of a common carrier or inclement weather, for example.
This benefit provides a daily dollar amount to be used for necessary expenses while a traveler is delayed. This typically ranges between – per day.
