Why does Trip Interruption say ‘Trip Cancellation required’ in the Policy Detail on my quote results?

In order for the policy to include Trip Interruption coverage, some policies require that Trip Cancellation coverage also be included on your quote.

Some policies require you include Trip Cancellation coverage in order to have Trip Interruption coverage on a policy. To include Trip Cancellation coverage on your quote, select ‘Edit my Quote’ in the ‘Your Quote’ box in the upper left hand corner of your quote results page. For the question ‘Should this quote include Trip Cancellation coverage?’ Select ‘Yes’, and enter your trip cost, then select ‘Quote Now.’

You can insure your prepaid and non-refundable trip costs. Trip Interruption can reimburse you for your unused trip costs and additional transportation costs if you miss a portion of your trip or have to return home early due to a covered reason on the policy. Trip Cancellation coverage provides reimbursement for your trip costs if you must cancel your trip due to a covered reason on the policy.
