I would like to reserve a flight with credit card points. Do you know of any company who would provide some kind of reimbursement for lost points if one had to cancel a trip?

Unfortunately travel insurance policies will only reimburse for cash losses; However some policies now offer limited benefits for restoring frequent flyer points or reissue fees in the event your trip is canceled by a travel supplier. Conditions generally apply so be sure to check the policy certificate for full details.
