As tourism grows to the popular island country, trip costs are becoming more affordable. The average cost of a trip to the Bahamas is $2,981, the 8th lowest among Squaremouth’s 25 most popular destinations.

Squaremouth’s Bahamas Travel Insurance Recommendations:

Due to the popularity of cruises into and out of the Bahamas, and the potential for higher than usual medical expenses, Squaremouth recommends high medical coverage for travelers visiting the Caribbean destination. For these travelers, Squaremouth recommends a policy with at least $100,000 in Emergency Medical coverage, and at least $250,000 in Medical Evacuation coverage.

In addition to high medical coverage, many travelers may plan to participate in activities or excursions during their trips to the Bahamas. If this is the case, Squaremouth recommends a policy with the Sports & Activities benefit to ensure optimal coverage for a traveler’s selected activities.
