Tropical Storm Claudette

08/17/2009

Claudette became the first tropical storm to hit the U.S. mainland this year when it made landfall in the Florida Panhandle early Monday. Since that time, the storm has weakened. By 8:00am EST on Monday August 17th, the storm has been downgraded to a tropical depression as it moved over Alabama. Certain HTH Worldwide plans offer coverage for some effects of adverse weather. Customers are strongly encouraged to read their Certificate of Insurance or Insurance Policy for details regarding their available coverage. For those plans that do offer coverage for adverse weather, please note that there is no coverage for this storm under any plans purchased on or after August 17, 2009. Hurricane Bill

On Monday August 17, 2009, Hurricane Bill became the first named hurricane of 2009. At this time, the storm has not touched down on land, however, the National Weather Service expects that Bill will be a category 3 hurricane by Friday morning. Tropical Depression Ana

Ana was moving quickly across the northeastern Caribbean early Monday August 17, 2009, and is expected to reach the coast of the Dominican Republic later in the day.
