What compensation should I expect if the airline delays my bags?

The baggage delay benefit varies depending on the travel insurance policy selected. Generally baggage delay provides reimbursement for clothing, toiletries and other essential items if your luggage is delayed for 24 hours.  The coverage meximum is usually somewhere between $100 for a basic economy plan up to $600 on a deluxe plan. Some plans provide reimbursment after a 12 hour delay.
