Will travel insurance cover my laptop computer?

Most travel insurance policies cover the loss, theft or damage of personal items, however the benefit amounts vary from policy to policy.  The maximum benefit for Baggage and Personal Items Loss is typically between $500 and $2500 per person.  In addition, most plans have a maximum of $250 or $300 per article that applies. Also, note that there is usually a maximum aggregate limit of $500 – %600 for items such as jewelry, gold, silver, cameras, computers and related equipment.  A few policies have a $1,000 maximum per person with no per article limit.  Refer to the policy wording for the full details of coverage.
