• What is Extension Of Coverage?

  Extension of Coverage is the time period a traveler’s policy can provide benefits beyond their scheduled return date if they are unable to return home for a reason out of their control. In the event of a medical-related delay, most providers require a documented diagnosis from a licensed medical professional.

  EXTENSION OF COVERAGE

  LATE RETURN COVERAGE

  All coverages except Trip Cancellation will be extended, if:

  a. Your entire covered trip is covered by the plan; and

  b. Your return is delayed by inclement weather or any of the unforeseen events listed in Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption or Trip Delay.

  This extension of coverage will end on the earlier of:

  a. The date you reach your return destination; or

  b. Seven (7) days after the date the covered trip was scheduled to be completed.
