We chose a comprehensive policy including trip cancellation in case of an illness or other major family problem. We have used comprehensive policies many times before and this was the first time we had to make a claim. We were very pleased with Sarah Weiser in the Claims Department who explained each step of the process clearly. It took six weeks for CSA Travel Protection to complete their review and pay our claim in full.

The outside USA(collect call) number did not work in Zagreb, Croatia. I tried several times and my husband tried. I had the right number since I took the policy document with me. I had to use my credit card to reach CSA. I have been refunded the cost of the phone calls. It was frustrating since my problem was due to loss of vision in one eye and I needed to get back to the states to be treated since eye equipment in Zagreb for ultra sound was broken and "might be fixed four days later." I would like to see back up information if collect calls can not go through. Zagreb is the capital of Croatia so it's not a small city for this not to work and we stayed at a Westin hotel while in Zagreb.

Price was right for coverage needed. Customer service was friendly and helpful. I liked the multitude of choices in insurance carriers and the ability to compare services and coverage.

Excellent and quick response to my claim!

I took out my travel policy two weeks before my trip. 6 days before our scheduled trip my sister and husband died in a car accident. I had to wait two weeks before I could get a death certificate to file my claim. I rescheduled my trip for approximately a month after my first scheduled departure in hopes of having the claim settled. I received the check two days before the departure. All in all the claim was handled expeditiously and we are very pleased.

I've purchased CSA's travel protection policy twice, very professional organization and excellent coverage at a reasonable price. I will continue to use them; however, I've not made a claim (and hope I never have to), so have no comment on their claim payment procedures.
