    the cruiseline cancelled the trip due to ship problens RCL, they refunded 1400 dollars BUT when I filed a claim for $138 for Delta air fare the insurance agent said I didn't have enough overage to qualify, I didn't even ask for the $200 reimbursement for miles credit I lost, So much for being a nice person and buying travel insurance again !!

    The reason no benefits are payable in your claim is that the trip cost was not insured on the travel protection plan. The amount of trip cost you choose to insure determines the amount of trip cancellation coverage and also determines the price you pay for the plan.

    Because $0 trip cost was insured, the trip cancellation coverage benefit is $0.

    We know this isn't the answer you wanted, but please understand that we are required to process all claims according to the provisions in the plan. Even during an unfortunate situation, we are unable to pay trip cancellation benefits when the benefit amount insured is $0.

    We purchased the policy for peace of mind on our travels to Iceland. I called customer service just to ask a few questions to make sure that I was making the right decision. We did not have to use the policy but just knowing we were covered in case of an unexpected emergency felt like a wise investment..

    I went on line and purchased this Travel Insurance because the quote from the Cruise Ship Line was far more expensive for less coverage. I was more than pleased for the coverage you offered and at a very fair price.

    Hard to rate an insurance company unless you process a claim; that's when you find out the most about a company. Since we had no basis or need to file a claim, the only experience we had with the company was in purchasing the policy.
