AS SUSPECTED THEY DID THEIR BEST TO DENY MY CLAIM. WISH I HAD NOT WASTED MY TIME. YOU SHOULD DROP THEM FROM YOUR LISTINGS AS THEY WILL NOT PAY.
Although I did not have a claim, I found out that I basically purchased insurance "in vain." I read the "exclusions" on the policy; however, right after the "exclusions" section came a section, the name of which I cannot recall, saying that basically, any claim made while on a "medically-related journey" was null and void. Had that specific part been mentioned in the section named "exclusions," I would not have bought the insurance, since the precise nature of my travel was actually medical.
Something went wrong between square mouth and itravel. It took a series of emails and phone calls to get all of our documents to agree. I've used both square mouth and itravel before and this is the first time there has been a problem, so I won't hold it against either company.
However, a flood in Colorado forced us to cancel the original trip plans. When we called itravel to find out our options, they were not cooperative. Fortunately the condominium parent company gave us our money back and found us another destination. So our trip was fine, and we don't need to file a claim, but it has made me question how itravel would act if we DID need to file a claim.
I had no need to be in touch with the insurance company.
I did not make a claim so I'm unable to rate the insurance provider's performance during and after my trip.
Easy to sign up with. We have been using VRBO for a number of years, and wanted to ensure, since we booked so many months prior to our trip, that we would be covered by insurance in case some unforeseen incident should occur (death of a loved one, illness, accident). I cannot attest to what would happen in the event that a claim had to be filed, but the sign-up process was easy.
Having insurance gave us confidence to make the trip during potentially bad weather.
Even though I didn't need to file a claim, your customer service rep was AWESOME! I will highly recommend your company to everyone!!! Better than the other company I've used in the past!
