We had an issue with our cruise returning late. We missed our scheduled flight and had to rebook a new one to get home. We are in the midst of putting in our claim. The woman I spoke with briefly from our insurance company was quite quick to inform me that she didn't believe we were covered. Very disheartening to be told that. We have been loyal customers to Squaremouth
for years and hopefully for many more. I will gladly give a new review after we hear back from our request but right now we are both quite bothered by this.
I did not have to contact the provider after I purchased the policy
While the forms to fill in were lengthy, sometimes repetitive and not always clear, I received prompt email responses to my questions, and no further requests for information or documentation once I had sent the claim form in.
It took about 5 months from the time we first submitted the claim before we received payment. First they gave us a list of what was required. Six weeks later they sent a snail mail letter telling us different things that were required. 6 weeks later, same thing. Finally, after numerous phone calls, emails, and documents sent, we got the payment in December. Our trip was in July. Enough said.
Having insurance gave us confidence to make the trip during potentially bad weather.

Easy to sign up with. We have been using VRBO for a number of years, and wanted to ensure, since we booked so many months prior to our trip, that we would be covered by insurance in case some unforeseen incident should occur (death of a loved one, illness, accident). I cannot attest to what would happen in the event that a claim had to be filed, but the sign-up process was easy.
