    Filed claim in February. They did not respond for 8 weeks. Asked for more information. Waited 8 weeks again. Contacted them. They reviewed and denied claim saying that I had not proved my claim, and provided sufficient information, though I had.

    Contacted Squaremouth and no response except this survey.

    Have been dealing with claims for 6 months and they just ask for information they already have and do not respond in a timely manner.

    I have filed a claim but it has been two and a half weeks and I still cannot get anyone to begin working with me on it. This feels like a scam.

    I needed to visit a doctor in Spain to treat an infection in my foot. I also purchased an antibiotic. I hope to get reimbursed for the expenses soon.

    Was able to speak twice with reps concerning our delayed baggage and cancelled flights and how to file a claim. Both times the reps were helpful.

    Called to make a claim. Was given claim #430404576 and told I would receive an email with instructions on completing the claim and haven't seen or heard anything since.

    Had a minor loss when VIA rail cancelled a train in Canada. I was able to rebook the train and flight but lost two nights of lodging. I called the toll free number and the agent explained I would be sent a link by email to complete the process. I never received the email. I called back a few days later and was told my claims processer was on vacation and would get back to me when they returned. That was three weeks ago.

    Tried going online with my claim number but apparently John Hancock contracts out claim processing, has recently changed contractors and my number is no longer in the system.

    I am not going to waste anymore time on this since it was such a small amount and am just happy it wasn't a larger claim.

    The return trip was a nightmare. While on my first leg of my flight an email was sent informing that my second leg of the flight was cancelled. I didn’t receive this information until I landed in Montreal. I was rebooked for the next day. The rebooked flight included another dual segment and I missed a day at work. There was no one to help at the airport and we were told by air Canada that they had no hotel vouchers left. I had to find a hotel and pay for it. It was not a safe place to stay. I also contracted a horrible rash on my trip that required a Dr. Visit as well as a virtual dr assessment. Greece taxi/ pharmacy accepts only cash payments. Claim form is not user friendly. Seven corners told me verbally that nothing will be covered. I submitted claims. I am very very disappointed. What good is this travel insurance? Flight canceled and got sick and insurance is not interested in making me whole.

    I tried to make my claim online and it did not go through. I then did it verbally over the phone and heard nothing ! One week later I called again and I still have not received an email or any confirmation that my claim is in progress and the website where you check your claim number and the status of your claim tells me my claim number is invalid. it takes ages to get through to an agent on the phone and your online systems do not work I will never take insurance through you guys again.

    Seven Corners Inc is apparently the company doing claim processing for John Hancock. Seven Corners has advised me that their current average for claims processing is 130 days. This is not acceptable customer service.
