After buying my insurance, I had to cancel the first part of my trip. Your company made this very difficult and time consuming. I will not purchase travel insurance from you again.

We were extremely disappointed with Nationwide. They were not very responsive and not at all helpful with our problem. We have needed to use the medical coverage policy in the past and had a great experience. This was the opposite. The person I initially spoke with did not seem to understand the Spain health system and how to best obtain assistance for me. They completely failed in their responsibility based on the policy. No assistance was provided whatsoever.

I injured my knee and requested assistance with finding a doctor. I was put in touch with On Call. My experience with On Call was unsatisfactory. I don't think they understood my problem and just kept sending me emails saying that they were still looking for a doctor. By the time they located a doctor (in Seville) I had already left Seville days previous. They had not asked for my agenda, nor did they ever call me again...just short, cryptic emails. I ended up not seeing a doctor, and just took care of the issue myself until I returned home. I was not happy with their service.

I cancelled the trip a very long time ago, but didn't realize that I would need to keep every receipt to cancel the policy. A letter of affidavit that I didn't go on the trip, and that I wouldn't file a claim, should have been enough to cancel the policy. I think it was terrible customer service. I did repurchase a policy for my upcoming trip...we'll see how it goes. Hopefully I won't have to use the policy and everything will go smoothly this time and I don't have to cancel, but at least if I do, I will keep all my receipts. LOL

Before i purchased my trip protection, many of our friends said it was a waste of time and money but I purchased it anyway just Incase anything unexpected.
On 4/24 at the airport ticket counter, I unexpectedly/unforeseeably found out that my name on the ticket was not exactly matched to my passport. Expedia cancelled the trip at the airport so I missed my mother’s 80th birthday celebration.
Fortunately airline refunded most money except $520 cancellation and seating fees. One of the nationwide representatives said that I should submit trip cancellation claim but not trip interruption to nationwide for the rest. I did but got denied.

Was unable to file a claim. I was told that I could not file a claim for the reason of cancellation.
United Airlines asked for an Australian document that I was not told about. United asked for passport, Covid documentation, and mandatory insurance. Then they asked for an Australian Electronic Travel Approval ( ETA). At the airport check in counter 3 hrs before departure.
We were told by United Airlines that we could not board our flight without the ETA. There was not enough time to apply and receive the ETA before our flight. Our flight was non refundable and canceling our cruise two days before was 100% not refundable.
We lost the cost of the whole vacation. I feel that United Airlines should have had the ETA in their check list for ready to fly.
We had been advised by United Airlines that we were flight ready and that no other documents were needed. So in my opinion this insurance should cover the not being able to board, canceling our vacation. Please advise.

My grandson fell ill on our vacation, and when I called your office, the person there helped me through my many questions. It was very comforting to have someone who could give advice in a difficult time.
After our trip when I began my claim, your agent walked me through the steps, answered my questions, and overall made it so easy to complete the process. I travel often, and from now on, I will be using Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as my go to travel insurance company. Thank you!

The online access to filed claims was nonexistent. After submitting a claim, there was no way to track it.
