    Besides being slow in processing the claim, the matter has been settled fairly since it is a small amount of claim ($95 minus $50 deduction).

    Had to extend my dates from the original plans and they helped me with the Insurance extension. No problems. And they were very helpful.

    I filed a claim on September 9, because our trip to the Virgin Islands was canceled due to the hurricane. They had all the correct information and I still have not received a check. They emailed me shortly after I filed a claim and said they had all the correct information and it was being processed. I have called several times to check on the status and still have not received a check.

    I went with this insurance because my traveling friend recommended it and I also researched it on line. I've used other insurance before and this one was similar.

    Happily we had no issues that required making a claim, but it was comforting to know that the insurance was there if needed. I don't think I'd ever take such a long trip without having travel insurance.

    My trip was cancelled, through no fault of my own. The venues in my book tour were inoperative, but The Squaremouth representative said I would receive no refund. I am considering a lawsuit, even if it costs more than my refund.

    All RoamRight policies come with a 14-day Free Look that allows the insured to cancel the policy and receive a refund within 14 days of purchasing. Unfortunately, you were outside of your 14-day Free Look window when you called to cancel.

    Even though you did not go on your trip, your travel insurance policy features a number of pre-trip benefits that were available to you in the days leading up to your scheduled departure date.

    However, if you accrued additional costs – other than the premium paid for your insurance policy – as a result of your cancelled trip, then we encourage you to file a claim. Neither RoamRight nor Squaremouth can administer claims decisions over the phone.
