    This would have been a 5 star review except for the pushback we got when trying our trip was postponed due to covid-19. If you trip is cancelled and covered due to natural disasters, civil unrest, etc, how can a world wide pandemic be excluded just because covid 19 was not specifically listed on the the policy-(it didn’t even exist then)? If a country’s borders are closed for travel, for whatever reason, you won’t be traveling and you don’t need a travel insurance policy! The issue was finally resolved by transferring our policy to our new trip dates in 2021. However, I would have appreciated that offer from the very beginning, rather than sweating the review board process and the possibility of losing all that money, just to have to purchase another policy or chance traveling without coverage. COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on the entire travel industry - it doesn’t need any help from less accommodating travel suppliers.

    The representative answered all my questions and concerns before purchasing the insurance. I got exactly the coverage that I wanted and fortunately did not need it.

    Got sick prior to flight and had to cancel first flight.

    Could not fly through the original city as planned and had to cancel second flight

    As I had mentioned, I will get back to you once I can find a reasonably priced flight back home.

    Have a very small claim for an overnight in hospital in Italy. They only billed me 165 Euros for lab tests and nothing else! But I have had trouble paying the bill so hence not made a claim yet.

    The travel policy claimed covid coverage when I signed up. It was not clear what coverage was actually provided. With the Delta variant rising at my departure, I called and was told a diagnosis of covid as reason for trip interruption or cancelation would be needed. Fortunately, I did not need the coverage and my trip was completed OK. More clarity up front on this coverage would help.
