    I purchased a medical policy within the 10 days to get the preconditions waiver, when I downloaded the policy it said there was no precondition waiver. I called Squaremouth. The person I talked with said I was covered since I purchased the policy within the waiver time frame. Before the trip I called again to confirm I have the preconditions waiver and was told that medical only policies do have a preconditions waiver..I could not find this anywhere in the policy text.

    Your staff appears to be unaware of this basic bit of information. I asked the person to check to see if there was an error in response. No one ever called me back. Your customer service is terrible! You may have 24 hour customer service but the people who answer the phone are not very well trained.

    It is fun mpossible to deal with claim assistance. Their phone is usually busy and when it’s not their system disconnects me. I started my claim and was advised to go on line to complete the claim form but to access claim form I was directed to a site that asks for my last name date of birth and claim number but when I did I get a message claim information not found.. why are the claim department trying to prevent me from filing a claim.

    The experience was straightforward and satisfying In the sense that there were several options, different plans, that seemed relatively easy to understand. They all looked pretty good in covering our requirements. All were fairly close in cost. I chatted online with a representative of square mouth, who reassured me that indeed these plans would meet our needs, and also answered a couple of specific questions regarding the fine points of the respective plans. The purchase was simple, the documentation was easy to find and copy to bring with us on our trip; all in all very pleasant simple experience which made us feel quite secure in having insurance protection for our travels.

    They are overwhelmed with all the hurricane problems took me four days to reach them by phone waiting for a response on our to claims

    I have purchased travel insurance from Travel safe many, times. It took over 20 calls and 5 months to be turned town for a very clear cut obvious claim. I had to file an appeal, which was a complete waste of time. Policy rules and payouts were changed. It was impossible to speak to anyone on the phone. We had a complete itinerary change from southern to western Caribbean , had more port cancellations, while on the cruise, had itinerary change insurance, they denied, even with all the proof I sent. Also my husband had a serious accident ,requiring a trip to the medical team on board and months of Dr visits when we got home, and he spent the last 3 days in bed on the cruise. I was told, travel insurance is basically supposed to give you "peace of mind" while traveling..hmmm, I thought I was actually buying insurance. I am so grateful that in all the many years of traveling, I never had to file any other claims and never had any other serious problems. Next time I will certainly pick a different Travel insurance company.

    We were able to travel worry free because we had obtained our policy prior to traveling and knew if something happened we would be taken care of. The peace of mind added to the enjoyment of our trip. We never travel without obtaining travel insurance and have relied on Squaremouth to help us make that decision.

    they did not pay the full claim even though ALL receipts were provided. they shorted me $248.00 because they were having difficulty reaching the limo company. they always refer you to their website to check claim status, which is all short hand gibberish which means nothing to common people. they never answer the phone. always get a recording saying they are experiencing high call / claim volume. try right sizing your staff, instead of making excuses. waited 3 mouth for a partial reimbursement, that their own staff was confused about. filed a complaint with Square Mouth, but never heard back from them either. the whole process was slow, lacked communication, and professionalism.

    Right now I'm gathering papers to send to them. It's complicated by the fact that my husband completely cancelled due to surgery and I went on part of the planned trip. Hopefully all will work welll.
