When getting a travel insurance quote, it is important to enter the correct trip deposit date.
Trip deposit date is when the first payment was made toward any aspect of the trip. This can be either a deposit or full payment of a flight, lodging, cruise or tour whether booking through an agent or making the arragements yourself. If reward points or frequent flyer miles are used, then the issue date of those tickets will be the deposit date.
