What expenses should I insure for my cruise?

Last Updated:

You have the option to insure all, some, or none of your expenses on a standard Trip Cancellation policy. This can include your cruise expenses, including excursions, as well as trip expenses outside your cruise, like any related flight and hotel costs.

More Detail

Trip Cancellation can reimburse your prepaid and non-refundable trip expenses if you cancel for a covered reason. Covered reasons include illness, injury, or death of you, a family member, or a traveling companion. It can also cover other reasons, including terrorism, hurricanes and extreme weather, default of your travel supplier, and more.

In addition to the cost of your cruise, you can insure airfare, hotels, tours, or shore excursions. You only need to insure prepaid and non-refundable expenses that you would lose if you cancel, so if you only have to put down a deposit, you can choose to insure that amount and add to it as you make additional payments.
