TIS Response to Ash-Related Delays and Cancellations

According to National Air Traffic Services (NATS), volcanic ash emitting from the volcano under the Eyjafjallajokull glacier in Iceland has caused a significant number of flight cancellations and travel delays across Europe.  More than one-quarter of all air space in the area is closed. The travel insurance and assistance services plans available through TIS include coverage for this unforeseen event.  The plan must have been purchased before Tuesday, April 13, 2010 for coverage to be in effect.
