Can I buy a policy if I don’t want to travel anymore because of war?

Last Updated: 1 min read

A Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) Policy can provide reimbursement if you want to cancel your policy because of the Russian-Ukraine War. While most policies exclude acts of war for travel insurance coverage, a CFAR policy provides few exclusions to cancel a policy. This means, canceling out of fear can typically be covered under the Cancel for Any Reason benefit.

Cancel For Any Reason can reimburse prepaid, non-refundable trip expenses up to 50-75% of the total trip cost depending on the policy. This upgrade typically adds about 40-50% to the total cost of the premium. CFAR is time sensitive and needs to be purchased within 14-21 days of the initial trip payment or deposit.

Without the CFAR upgrade, typical cancellation policies do not provide coverage for fear of traveling.
