My trip was disrupted by the recent attacks in Israel, am I covered?

Last Updated: 1 min read

Terrorist attacks typically can be covered by travel insurance. If you need to end your trip early, evacuate to safety, or seek medical attention due to the recent events in Israel, your travel insurance policy may provide reimbursement. Coverage for the attack in Israel can only apply for travelers who bought their policy on or before October 6, 2023.

With that said, wars, acts of war, and political unrest are usually excluded from travel insurance coverage. How your provider views the events will determine if coverage is applicable to your situation.

If your trip has been interrupted by the recent Israel attacks, it’s recommended that you contact your provider as soon as reasonably possible to confirm coverage.
