Squaremouth Awarded for Consistent Company Growth
ST. PETERSBURG, FL July 30, 2014 – Squaremouth, America’s fastest growing travel insurance comparison site, has once again been named one of the fifty fastest growing companies in Tampa Bay.
Since its launch in 2006, Squaremouth has maintained consistent growth. Sales have increased from $1 million in 2006 to almost $13 million in 2013, while the company’s revenue has grown by over 20% year-over-year.
The Tampa Bay Business Journal Fast 50 recognizes businesses based on total revenue growth over three consecutive years. This year, Squaremouth ranked number forty with 69.83% revenue growth since 2011.
This award joins a list of accolades the company has already received this year. In June, Squaremouth accepted a Silver “Stevie” Award for Customer Service Team of the Year by the American Business Awards. Other finalists included Capital One, who won gold, and Allstate and John Hancock, who took home bronze. Squaremouth has also been named one of INC. Magazine’s 5000 fastest growing companies in the U.S. This is Squaremouth’s second time on the national list, they will learn their official ranking in August.
When asked about the company’s growth, co-founder and CEO, Chris Harvey, attributed part of their success to Squaremouth’s headquarters in downtown St. Petersburg. “We are located in an area that is growing and evolving itself, allowing us to hire a high quality of staff who are attracted to this vibrant area,” said Harvey. In May, Squaremouth’s office was named one of Tampa Bay’s “coolest” office spaces by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
