St. Pete’s ‘Squaremouth’ Named One of the Best Workplaces in America, Moves into Historic Church to Accommodate Growth

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. May 30, 2018 – St. Petersburg-based software company, Squaremouth, has been named one of America’s Best Workplaces. This is the travel insurance comparison site’s seventh recognition from Inc. Magazine. The award comes at the heels of the company’s biggest investment in its employees to date: the purchase of a 70-year-old church as its new headquarters.

Historic Church Becomes New Company Headquarters

After outgrowing its former workspace in Downtown St. Pete, Squaremouth purchased the 20,000 square foot church, located on Central Avenue and 43rd Street.

“The church provides the right amount of space for us to continue to grow comfortably. The location was also a big draw for us as Central Avenue continues to be revitalized; we’re excited to be a part of that,” said Co-Owner and CEO Chris Harvey.

Once the pews were removed from the sanctuary and donated to an orphanage in Haiti, work began to transform the church into a modern workspace. A badminton court, snooker table, video games, napping couches and fully stocked bar were the earliest additions as construction begins.

Future plans include building treehouses for meeting spaces, a workout room and opening a public coffee shop.
