Always Check the Exclusions

Last Updated:

Comparing travel insurance plans side by side helps the traveler find the necessary coverage at the best cost.  However, when there is a specific coverage need, it is wise to check the exclusions in the certificate of insurance.  Every policy certificate is available on the plan detail screen, before purchase.  After buying a policy, there is a free look period that allows the traveler time to review all of the details of their policy, normally 10 to 14 days.  During this time, if the traveler decides that the coverage is not adequate, then the policy can be canceled.
