Most travel insurance policies have an exclusion clause that lists high risk sports and activities that are not covered. Motorcycling, mountaineering, sky diving, bungee jumping, white-water rafting, parasailing and spelunking are among the activities that might not be covered. Some international medical policies offer optional coverage for hazardous sports.
Upgrading your policy to include Hazardous Sports coverage will waive the exclusion of certain sports, such as skydiving, climbing at high elevations, and bungee jumping. Even with this benefit, however, some more dangerous activities may still be excluded. Check the policy certificate for full details and any conditions that apply.
