Travel Insurance Without Trip Cancellation

Last Updated:

When shopping for a travel insurance policy, one way to keep the cost of the premium low is to enter $0 for the trip cost.  This removes trip cancellation and either removes or reduces the trip interruption from the policy.  The other benefits of coverage will remain.  This is a good option for travelers that want coverage for emergency medical & dental and medical evacuation & repatriation.

If coverage is needed for pre-existing medical conditions, then entering $0 for the trip cost is not an option.  Most travel insurance plans require that all pre-paid and non-refundable trip costs be insured in order to be covered for pre-existing conditions.  Always refer to the certificate of insurance for details.
