Travel Insurance FAQ
Will travel insurance cover an airline change fee?

Yes, some travel insurance policies will cover an airline imposed reissue fee in the event you must reschedule your trip for a covered reason.
Under the Trip Cancellation benefit of travel insurance, some policies will reimburse you for the reissue fee charge by the airline. This reimbursement is typically limited to $75 – $300.
In order for coverage to be available in the event your airline charges you a reissue fee, you must have included 100% of your prepaid and non-refundable trip expenses under your policy, including your airfare.
Squaremouth recommends travelers check out the full cancellation coverage that is included in their policy. Every policy has a certificate that outlines benefit amounts and defines covered events under each benefit.
