Cancel For Any Reason can provide cancellation coverage for any situations related to coronavirus that are not otherwise covered by a standard travel insurance policy, including fear of traveling, border closures, or travel bans.

Cancel for Any Reason is a time-sensitive benefit and that can typically only be purchased within 14-21 days of the first trip booking. However, if you are cruising, select policies offer Cancel For Any Reason coverage anytime before the final cruise payment is made. 

Cancel for Any Reason coverage costs about 40% more than a standard policy and requires you to insure 100% of your pre-paid, non-refundable trip cost. This benefit can reimburse up to 75% of your trip cost if you cancel your trip at least 2 days prior to departure.
